In Remain
by Ezar Zenas
Standing tall and proud
Her hands stretching out, a natural shroud
A symbol of strength, resilience, and grace
A girl that stands firm in its rightful place
But what of the one who left her behind?
Who walked away, without looking behind?
Did they not see her beauty, her worth?
Did they not know what they were leaving on earth?
She still stands, despite the pain
She knows that life will go on again
She sheds her tears, but not her hope
And continues to grow, learning to cope
For though she may have been left alone
The girl remains, a steadfast throne
A testament to the power of love
And the strength of a heart, rising above.
