Acacia
by: Ezar Zenas
Oh Acacia, fair and lovely tree
Your golden flowers and graceful leaves
Remind me of a love I can’t retrieve.
You stood so tall and proud and free
A symbol of strength and beauty
But now you’re gone, and I’m alone
Left with memories to call my own.
Your branches once gave me shade
And your scent, oh how it stayed
But now I wander, lost and cold
Missing you with all my soul.
Oh Acacia, how I long for thee
To be reunited, just you and me
Until then, I’ll cherish the past
And hold you close in my heart, steadfast
